As small as this scene is, it still kills me. Amy hasn’t had any human contact in years and suddenly the love of her life comes back. All that time, waiting, and when she went out that day to do her rounds the last thing she expected was to see Rory. She’s trying so hard to keep up that front, that she doesn’t care but she does. She wants to try and make herself look a bit more presentable for him and then she thinks about it, and why she should care? She shouldn’t. She lived there for thirty-six years on her own. She doesn’t need him anymore only, yes, she really does.
